Although we were officially entered as a mixed crew, when the opposition heard about the mighty De Burgh entering, they immediately scratched or stacked their boat with men, so we were bumped to the M1 division. I think given how long it was since most of us rowed, and that we were a scratch mixed crew against men's eights who appeared to have at least met each other before, it went pretty well. Admittedly, the first race was a white wash, but the plate final was nail biting and frustrating. We led for most of the race, only for our fitness to let us down just as they took the advantage around their corner.

I for one did several squats this morning, to prevent THAT ever happening again. Bosh.
